Sun, spring, blue skies, wearing shorts, eating barbecues, swimming pools outside, tropical islands, fine food and fine wine, nice big houses with large stone fireplaces, stone floors and underfloor heating, rolltop baths, steak, baggy jeans, fashionable clothes (Dav), beautiful but not meaningless art, travelling, visiting new countries, driving fast (Dan), fast cars, Denby stoneware and Taylors' Eye Witness No.1 cutlery, Vans trainers, flowers, nice soft beds, fresh air, basketball, football games, Arsenal, ASP.NET, nice fountain pens, nice mobile phones, nice colour combinations, a good haircut, goatees (Dav likes mine), Thailand, Thai food, America, The Cheesecake Factory, IHOP (the International House of Pancakes), Starbucks, Costa Coffee, makeup (Dav), Chicago, Los Angeles, Santa Monica, Burbank, Spanish music, olives (depends on the type, obviously), tapas, Spain, Spaniards, Spanish, plazas in Zafra, Zafra in general, all our friends, COFFEE (!), fresh herbs (especially mint from our balcony), our flat, our plans for our flat, nice kitchens and bathrooms, new beds, nice mattresses, South Lodge Hotel (wonderful place, great food, awesome staff!), four poster beds, Africa (obviously), Burundi, tropical weather, African lakes, Lake Tanganyika, fishing, sharks, snorkelling, scuba diving, the Maldives, Giravaru Island (in the Maldives), Faith camp, KFC (Kingdom Faith Church), Pastor Colin, Pastor Paul Abell, all the other pastors, Paul and Jo McCulloch, our life group, Bennetts Rd, our parents, our siblings, our friends, coffee (again), the Internet, Google (oh yeah baby, we love that!), good design, comfy furniture, leather sofas, slim scanners, the new iMac, the iPod, beautiful wood, oak, our coffee table (that I made - Dan), my auntie Dinah's paintings, two-tone nail polish (Dav), hot marshmallow sauce on ice cream, handbags, shoes, new clothes, losing weight, having a tan, orchids, chocolate (Dav), babies (MOST DEFINITELY DAV), dancing around the kitchen, hamsters (Roborovskis), relaxing in bubble bath with a nice book and a glass of wine, trampolining, all small furry animals except for rats, sunny days, laughing with friends, sea shells, well plastered walls, good jokes, nice carpets, family time, having fun in bed (haha - we're married, it's okay!), good software, certain beers, freshly strained maracuya juice...
The list goes on and on, but I won't bore you with it... Onto the dislikes...
Dislikes (the shorter list)
Spiders (Dav only - I used to keep a tarantula as a pet), horrible English weather, stress at work, standing up for too long, fishing and not catching anything, bad food, gone off fruit, unpalatable wine, tough steak, house music (and all other crap music that keeps getting produced), having to move when tired (Dav), cold baths in winter, being sick, being fat, being white (as in "non-tanned"), bland food, dirty underwear, having to do housework, badly decorated houses, dirt, greasy kitchens, bad wine glasses (I especially hate these - Dan), cheap cutlery with plastic handles, the Liberal Democrats (Dan), pathetic politicians, having to pay so much money for everything (including haircuts), having to go to work sometimes...
This list also goes on for a while, but it's not as long...promise!
